Excursions in the National Park

walks in the National ParkThe many paths that are found in our forests are marked according to their characteristics and various associations organize guided tours to discover the beauties of the National Park of the Forests Casentino. Recently established, the park is the second largest in Europe, extending its borders from the Tuscan to the Romagnolo (about 368 Km2), and presents an incredible variety of Fauna and Flora . Our woods are ideal for long walks immersed in the green of nature, or for the seasonal search for mushrooms and chestnut harvesting .
Not infrequently during walks, especially in the early morning hours, you can come across beautiful beasts of deer, fallow deer, roe deer and many wild animals that populate our woods. .
The Casentino territory is notoriously rich in crystalline watercourses in which it lives a varied type of fish, such as the beautiful brown trout characterized by its red and black punctuation, the barbio, the chub and others. In some watercourses, mostly in the upper Casentino and in Vallesanta, lives the river shrimp , a species of freshwater crustacean protected not to be confused with the similar killer shrimp, widespread in some parts of Italy in recent years for gastronomic purposes.
Walking through our woods will make your day pleasant, away from the stress of everyday life and bringing you back in synergy with nature.
